Chatsworth – Paintings by Kitty North
The Duke and Duchess of Devonshire moved to Chatsworth in January 2006. In June 2006 I visited Chatsworth and started a series of paintings. Chatsworth is a jewel in the landscape. The beauty, art, heritage, and history at Chatsworth are exceptional.

The paintings represents the family and their custodianship at Chatsworth. The paintings encapsulate themes of legacy, history, custodianship, happiness, pleasure, love, shared worlds, and family. I have used diminutive figures, the sun, the moon Chatsworth  and  colour. I painted what I saw with simplicity and purity.
